1 lb, Pre-cooked Shrimp
8 oz, Angel Hair Pasta
1 tbsp, Olive Oil
2 tbsp, Butter total in 1 tbsp increments
4 cloves of Fresh Garlic
½ Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
¼ cup, Chopped Parsley
½, Fresh Lemon Juice
Directions
- Thaw 1 pound of pre-cooked shrimp before hand, set aside
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil
- Add 8 ounces of angel hair pasta to pot, cook for time recommended on package
- Meanwhile, add 1 tablespoon olive oil, and 1 tablespoon of butter into a large sauté pan, over medium heat
- Add 4 cloves of crushed garlic to pan, cook for 2 minutes
- Add ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes to pan, and then add shrimp.
- Cook only until shrimp are warmed through, about 2 minutes.
- Add ¼ cup chopped parsley, the juice of ½ lemon, and the last tablespoon of butter.
- Turn off heat, add salt and pepper to taste.
- Drain pasta, reserving ¼ cup of the water.
- Add pasta to pan, and toss all together well. (add in some of the pasta water if needed)
Notes
- You can top this pasta dish off with freshly grated parmesan cheese
- This dish is perfectly served along with green salad and crusty bread
