Butchers Best Easy Rib Roast

As we wrap up another grateful year I’d like to lay out our no fuss, no muss perfect Rib Roast recipe. I use this at home and it’s a crowd pleaser every time. There are a ton of wonderful preparation instructions out there shared by those we love, cook books and the internet.

Butchers Best Easy Rib Roast

We suggest cooking your Rib Roast fat side up, tips down.

Ingredients

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • Rosemary to taste

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees
  • Season meat in Baking Dish (Beyond basic ingredients, use your preferred spice mix)
  • Place in oven uncovered for 30 minutes
  • Turn oven to 200 degrees for 10 min per lb. (Example: 8lb. roast = 1 hr. 20 min.)
  • Remove from oven and let stand, covered for 30-40 minutes.
  • Finish Temp target = 125 degrees (Ex 8lb roast in for 1hr 40 min. tips down)
